If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves
and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from
heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

    2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

The 'Journey of the Christian Faith' that took place in the Summer of 2008 travelling over 4,500
miles by car and ferry visiting 40 cities/towns from the Outer Hebrides in Scotland to Penzance and
then into London over forty days. The Journey team came into contact with up to 5 million people
in this Nation through radio stations & TV stations, magazine and on the streets.

    Prayer - Faith - Action

Please pray that the Holy Spirit will be poured out on this Nation and that people will come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray that there will be a 'revival' in your Region and the Nation.

This Nation has seen Christian Revivals in the past and this is why we started the 'Journey' in the Isle of Lewis, Scotland where a Christian Revival took place in 1949 led by Duncan Campbell. Revivals normally take place in one region and then spread to other regions.

The Holy Spirit moves wherever He pleases and responds to people humbling themselves before Jesus Christ and crying out for mercy and forgiveness. 2 Chronicles 7:14 'If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land'.

Joel 2:24 'I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on your servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days'.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no-one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying, 'You must be born again'. The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot hear where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

There are quite a few accounts of revival in the UK: William Grimshaw Hawoth Yorkshire 1750’s, John Wesley and friends, Dwight L Moody 1850’s, Hugh Bourne Stoke 1807, 1850 Cornish William Haslam, 1859 Belfast, 1878 Bramwell Booth (Salvation Army) Whitechapel London, 1904 Welsh revival, Smith Wigglesworth 1920’s, 1921 East Scotland, for example. Christian revival takes place when the Holy Spirit, mentioned by Jesus Christ in the Bible, moves in a sovereign way to bring conviction of sin and leading people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who is part of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

May we all be encouraged to open up our homes, church buildings every evening to pray for revival.
